Some say peace is buffer time for the preparation of war
Just as God's irony strikes again
For there was eternal peace and hope
The reach for perfection,
A cruel joke
Designed for one purpose
To become more.
Yet God never applied the rules to himself.
But Lucifer believed,
Grounded on perfection
No room for mistakes
Excelled did he
Never reached the same sentence,
the same reverence
As the true holy God himself
Levels of perfection are a myth.
Yet, Lucifer can never be better.
For it was the one and only creator
Who ordained him life
And just as roots who go too deep
Inevitably hits the cruel, relentless magma
Dragging Lucifer down the abysmal depths
As desperate as he,
Lucifer seeks his hearth
His homeland
But found none
The unforgiving gods shunned him.
Always relentless in competition for
The "trophy"
So seek did he,
The crevices of heaven
Yet nobody understood him
There was solely one choice left to make,
Backstab his creator,
The father of life
Or continued on
And yield himself,
Forever blunting himself against the wall
So he chose the ladder,
Subsequently, falling
The depths of hell welcome,
Lucifer was home
For here,
Perfection, a thing of the past
Here, imperfection was the only perfection
So, no longer could he look at his
Brothers and sisters
Eye to eye,
But no longer did he need to
For bliss, achieved
Purpose, fulfilled
But he did miss God,
His graceful and promising hands,
Waiting,
Forever love, unconditional
What he would give to just--
Embrace his creator
But the rain subsided,
As the frost of
Years, decades
Of straining
And now his resolute purpose, unflinching
Everything washed away
Perhaps God isn't so perfect after all,
Creating imperfection.
This piece represents the stress that is place on political systems with god being their naive image of how the government should act. Results will often be catastrophic leading to ideas such as "the perfect race" hence the devil.
